Thoughtful changes, planned around you
You may be thinking about one tooth that stands out, worn edges, or a more complete smile makeover. We consider how the shape, shade and proportions of your teeth work together, as well as the health of the teeth we are treating. The aim is a plan you understand and a result that fits your smile.
Porcelain veneers
Veneers cover the front surfaces of selected teeth to change their appearance. They may be an option for concerns about shape, spacing or discoloration. Treatment usually involves removing enamel and is not reversible; suitability depends on your tooth structure, gum health and bite.
Porcelain crowns, bridges and color matching
A crown covers more of a tooth than a veneer and may be considered when the tooth also needs structural support. For a single visible tooth, matching the neighboring teeth involves more than choosing a shade: shape, surface detail and translucency also matter.
Your consultation
Bring your questions and, if helpful, photos that explain what you have in mind. We will discuss appropriate options, the amount of tooth preparation involved, maintenance and the proposed sequence of care. Timing and cost depend on the treatment selected and the number of teeth involved.
Questions you may have
How do I know if I need veneers, bonding, whitening, or aligners?
Start with what you want to change. Whitening addresses natural tooth color; bonding or veneers may change a tooth’s appearance; aligners move teeth. Your dentist can compare suitable options after checking your teeth, gums, and bite. You do not need to choose before your consultation.
Will my veneers look natural or too white?
Tell us whether you want a subtle change or a brighter smile. Shade, shape, tooth proportions, and how the teeth fit your face all belong in that conversation. Bring photos you like—and examples of what you want to avoid—so your preferences are clear.
Can you match just one front tooth?
That is one of the concerns we evaluate. Matching a single tooth involves its color, translucency, shape, and the neighboring teeth. Our Color Matching gallery shows individual examples; an examination helps us explain the possibilities for your tooth.
Do veneers require shaving down my teeth?
Not always. For the right patient, prep-less porcelain veneers may be an option. We assess suitability case by case, based on your teeth and the changes you want to make. Other cases require some enamel removal, which is irreversible. During your consultation, we’ll explain which approach is appropriate and how much preparation would be needed.
Will whitening change the color of my existing crowns or fillings?
No. Whitening changes natural teeth, but does not lighten crowns, veneers, or tooth-colored fillings. If you are planning whitening and new restorations, discuss the sequence first so the final shades can be considered together.
How long will the results last, and what will it cost?
There is no single lifespan or price for cosmetic treatment. The procedure, number of teeth, oral health, and maintenance all matter. Ask for an itemized estimate and discuss future touch-ups, repairs, or replacement before deciding.
